Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Mango Launcher ("the app", "we", "us" or "our"), developed by Pinya Apps, handles information when you use it. Mango Launcher is an Android home screen launcher and is designed to be privacy first. We do not sell your data, and we do not collect personal information for advertising.

By using Mango Launcher, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

Mango Launcher does not collect, store, or transmit personally identifiable information to us or to any third party for the purpose of analytics, advertising, or profiling. We do not operate analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or trackers inside the app.

All of your launcher configuration, app lists, custom names, icons, folders, widget layouts, and settings are stored locally on your device. This information never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it yourself.

2. Information Processed Locally on Your Device

To function as a launcher, the app reads and processes the following data entirely on your device. This data is not sent to us:

• Installed applications. The app reads the list of apps installed on your device so it can display and launch them, allow you to rename, hide, reorder, or assign custom icons to them, and group them into folders.
• App icons and labels. Used to render your home screen, app drawer, and folders.
• Notification metadata (optional). If you enable notification badges, the app reads the number of active notifications per app and whether media is currently playing, in order to display badge counts and a media indicator. Notification content is not stored, logged, or transmitted.
• Widget data. Widgets you add are provided by their respective apps and rendered by the Android system. We do not access their underlying content.

3. Permissions We Request

Android requires apps to declare the permissions they use. Mango Launcher requests the following, each only for the stated launcher functionality:

• Query all packages (QUERY_ALL_PACKAGES). Required so a launcher can see and display all of your installed apps.
• Internet (INTERNET). Used only to download daily wallpapers (see Section 4) and to communicate with Google Play Billing for purchases.
• Set wallpaper (SET_WALLPAPER). Used to apply wallpapers you choose or that are downloaded by the daily wallpaper feature.
• Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING). Used to offer and process in-app purchases and subscriptions through Google Play.
• Notification access (Notification Listener Service, optional). Disabled by default. If you turn on notification badges, this is used solely to count notifications and detect media playback. You can revoke it at any time in your system settings.
• Accessibility Service (optional). Disabled by default. Used exclusively to let you lock your phone's screen with a gesture. It does not collect or share any data.
• Biometric / device credential (optional). Used only to lock and unlock the optional Private Space. Authentication is handled by the Android system; we never see or store your biometric data.
• Expand status bar (EXPAND_STATUS_BAR). Used to open the notification shade when you use the swipe-down gesture.

4. Daily Wallpapers and Network Requests

If you enable the daily wallpaper feature, the app requests wallpaper images from our wallpaper service, which acts as a proxy to a third-party image provider (Unsplash). These requests are used only to retrieve images for the theme you selected.

Standard technical information that is inherent to any internet request (such as your IP address) may be processed transiently by our hosting provider to deliver the image. We do not use this information to identify you, and we do not build user profiles. No account, login, or personal identifier is required to use this feature, and you can disable it at any time.

5. In-App Purchases

Mango Launcher offers optional paid features through Google Play Billing. Payments, billing information, and subscription management are handled entirely by Google. We do not receive or store your payment card details. Your purchase status is verified through Google Play. Please review Google's Privacy Policy for how Google processes payment data.

6. Import and Export of Settings

The app lets you export your settings to a file and import them later. This file is created and stored wherever you choose using your device's file system. We do not have access to these files. You are responsible for keeping any exported files secure.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information. The only third parties involved are:

• Google Play for app distribution and in-app purchases.
• Our wallpaper service and its hosting/image providers for delivering optional daily wallpapers.

8. Data Security

Because your launcher data is stored locally on your device, its security depends primarily on your device's own protections. We recommend using a screen lock and keeping your operating system up to date. Network requests for wallpapers and billing are made over encrypted connections (HTTPS).

9. Children's Privacy

Mango Launcher is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Your Rights

Since the app stores data locally and does not collect personal data on our servers, you remain in control. You can clear all app data, uninstall the app, revoke any optional permission, or reset the launcher to defaults at any time from within the app or your device settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Effective date" above. Continued use of the app after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
